Snow on the mountain trails
Has summer finally arrived? Not yet — and certainly not everywhere.
The fine weather of recent days has finally marked the start of the hiking season. While temperatures at lower elevations already feel summery, conditions in the mountains can still be challenging and require caution due to the significant amount of snow, especially on slopes with less sun exposure.
We therefore recommend checking current trail and mountain conditions carefully before setting out, by contacting hut wardens or consulting the latest available updates.
